1989   

1989 ozef Šulgan established his first private company ZÁMOČNÍCTVO - VÝROBA ZÁHRADNÝCH SÚPRAV (Metalworking – production of garden equipment). Manual fabrication of metal garden seating sets.

    1990   

1990 Consortium associating physical persons – Businessman in the field of metalworking is formed; continuation of production of garden seating sets and fabrication of the first metal pallets.

    1991   

1991  Jozef Šulgan, Jaroslav Šulgan and Milan Šulgan established ST KOVO and production moved into new premises. The company employed 20 workers and continued in the production of garden chairs and tables; it extends production of metal pallets and begins production of school chairs.

    1992   

1992 Jozef Šulgan, Ing. Stanislav Kasaj, Jaroslav Šulgan, Milan Šulgan and Peter Šulgan established KOMAD

• Movement of the activities into new rented premises with production area
• of approximately 3,000 m2,
• Launch of wire program production – wire baskets,
• Continuation of metal pallet production in various structures and for
• different sectors
• Production of school chairs.

    1995   

1995 Production premises became company property

    2000   

2000  KOMAD enlarges production and warehousing capacities by approximately 6,000 m2.

    2004   

2004  Company extends its activities in the field of sheet processing:

• Laser cutting,
• CNC bending,
• Automated welding.

    2005   

2005  Investments made into additional production halls, office and constructional facilities with total area of approximately 15,000 m2 and available land totalling approximately 30,000 m2.

    2009   

2009  Due to increasing demand, KOMAD implements ERP system for production management in the sheet processing division.

    2010   

2010  KOMAD is one of the dominant producers of transport and storage carts for warehouses, the textile, food and automobile industries and is a reliable partner for many Slovak and prominent foreign companies in the field of sheet processing (semi-finished and finished products).
